How do I know when my driveway actually needs resealing?
Do the bead test: splash water on the slab. On a good seal it beads and rolls off; when it soaks in and darkens the concrete within a minute or two, the seal is gone and it is time to reapply. Other tells are a faded, chalky look, salt haze that no longer wipes away, and fine surface dusting. Those signs matter more than the exact number of years since the last coat.
Can I seal a driveway that already has cracks?
