Can I replace one indoor head without replacing the whole mini-split?
Frequently yes, and that is one of the format's advantages. If the outdoor condenser and the other heads are healthy, a single failed indoor unit can often be swapped for $700–1,500, provided a compatible head is still available for your system. The catch is matching: the new head must work with the existing outdoor unit's controls and refrigerant. Why is my mini-split not cooling even though it turns on?
